Insurance By Design, LLC is a locally owned and operated insurance brokerage established in 2007 by owner Kimberly Thomas. We specialize in designing affordable benefit packages to individuals & families, the self-employed, and employer groups of any size. Benefits include medical, dental, life, vision, & disability insurances. We also partner with general agencies specializing in life and disability to provide the best products and service available. We have strong relationships with the carrier reps and industry professionals to stay abreast of the latest product offerings and healthcare regulations.

Kimberly Thomas
Kimberly Thomas became a licensed agent in 2000 selling primarily health insurance to the self-employed market. Wanting to expand her product lines and serve more of the Washington marketplace, she later added her broker’s license in 2007 before establishing Insurance By Design, LLC. Previous career experience in sales & marketing positions were held in the software, recycling, and advertising industries. Kimberly was raised in the Auburn and Kent area, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication and Journalism from Western Washington University. She currently resides in the Twin Lakes area of Federal Way with her family.
